I am dying that it isn't spring yet! As much as I have tried to force spring to be here by not wearing a coat and wearing sandals I am reminded when I freeze outside that it is, in fact, NOT spring yet. I look out my window at work and day dream (pretty much all day!) about going somewhere warm. I thus decided to make a list the top 20 things I love to do in the spring & summer (you can tell I'm bored to tears at work):
1. Lay in the pool with my floaty.
2. Wear capri's
3. Not being at work (ok, this is during any season)
4. Going to Jazz playoff games
5. Playing softball
6. Eating lunch outside
7. Driving with the windows down
8. Flip Flops
9. Hiking
10. Roller blading
11. Sunday walks
12. Running in the morning (yes I said running)
13. 4th of July (I love that summer holiday)
14. Wakeboarding, being on a boat (if only I had my own)
15. Golfing
16. Baseball games (attending only)
17. Being tan
18. The sun setting at 9pm
19. Eating outside at restaurants.
20. The sounds of people playing in the park behind my house
How am I going to survive the rest of March?
Lame post I know, but I'm so bored waiting for spring to come that I have nothing else to post about in my life.

Help! I can't stop!

I have a HUGE problem. I can NOT stop eating Cadbury Mini-eggs. I have eaten an entire 42 oz bag in ONE week. That is 130 servings and I won't tell you how many calories, or fat grams, it is WAY more than you think. Let's just say it is well over 10,000 calories. So if you need to reduce your caloric intake by 3500 calories a week to lose one lb....I just ate 7 lbs.
Okay, so it hasn't manifested itself yet on the scale, but seriously there is something wrong with me. I wonder why I have to go to the gym everyday.
And now Stacy tells me that my girl scout cookies are here. I'm going to be 400 lbs by May!

I may not be a pro-snowboarder
I have learned a sad, sad lesson. Unfortunately this one is backed up by video proof. I thought I was nearly a pro-snowboarder, but after watching what the pro's do on skis I think I'm far from turning pro! LOL!
A few weeks ago we went to the World Cup Moguls at Deer Valley. These are the GIRLS doing their tricks off of the jumps AFTER they have already gone down the mountain with icy moguls with incredible speed.
Now this is me going off a jump at incredible speeds and with AMAZING trickery. Don't blink you might miss me.....oh wait, maybe I could RUN down the hill faster! (I promise it is a video, but it doesn't show a "preview")
I seriously thought I was going faster than this off this jump. I'm very disappointed that my speed appears to be not even enough to make it over the jump. Although you will see the speed is apparently fast enough to make me not land the jump on my feet. Also note the young kids (14-15 yrs old) that were sitting up on the hill above me. They did BACK FLIPS off this jump....apparently you can do many tricks when you hit the jump with some speed. I also enjoyed that when they talked with me up on the mountain they said "It is ok, we've probably been snowboarding longer than you and are much younger than you!" I'm apparently past my prime.....at least to some 14 year olds. I still feel I "have it."
However, I now realize that I have many more years ahead of me of having a season pass before I can claim to be a great/pro snowboarder. I also don't think age is on my side unfortunately. I believe I will be getting older, not younger.

I am losing my mind!!!
I really must be getting older now. In the last year I have forgotten at least 4 of my friends and families birthdays...probably more that I can't even remember right now (sorry Jenna, Jamie, Stacy, & Ryan) I remember them the day before or late the day off, but of course do I remember them at the right time....NO!! Since I have found I have this problem I have started setting up reminders in my email so they will flash at me at work. In theory this would work, but my first trial run appears it did not....at least for a weekend birthday.
The most recent forgetfulness came on Laura Gardner's (Bates) 30th birthday this past Saturday (3/1). I remembered weeks ago, set up a reminder in my work email system to remind myself to set my phone alarm for the day of so I would call her (since it was a Saturday). Well I set the alarm but didn't ENABLE it so it didn't go off. Thus I remembered at 11:30pm. I didn't think she would enjoy being woken up on her birthday! Seriously....what is wrong with me?
So in advance I apologize for being the worst friend/family member EVER! As for my next birthday I won't be offended if nobody calls me. I totally deserve it!
And for those who read my blog.....Happy belated birthday Laura AND Happy Birthday Sharon (on March 16th).....see I know it's coming, but somehow I suck the day of.

Family Dinner & a little "L-O-V-E"
Family dinner is always fun. I love being able to spend time with all the kids. I especially love Madison & Hannah because they are old enough to talk to and say the funniest things. I especially love talking to Madison about her current boyfriends (although she always asks me to keep them secret). Seriously I haven't seen such a boy crazy little girl since Stacy (we have the home videos to prove it!).
Anyways, here are a couple quick videos that I thought were really cute. They make me smile.
Madi singing a song about LOVE she learned at school.
Hannah showing off her singing skills.

Girls night out!
Sabby, Jessica, Stacy, Me, Laura, Carrie, Jenna, & Amanda
Every so often I get together with my girlfriends from college. We used to do it monthly, but now it is more like 3 times a year (not nearly often enough!). Last night we went to the Pizza Factory where we could all talk with no kids running around. This is the first time in a long time that all of us have been there (minus Jamie). It was a night of BIG news. Carrie is moving away to Illinois (so, so sad). Stacy is pregnant with baby #2. It is so fun to get together. We always have a great time!
